SONDEV is now the development division of SONTEC Sensorbau GmbH—together we combine our capabilities under one roof. This provides an infrastructure that meets diverse requirements: our in-house test center offers extensive testing options. CNC machining for prototypes and robot-assisted assembly processing are handled in-house at SONTEC.

For customer-specific solutions, we maintain direct access to qualified, reliable EMS and component manufacturers in the German-speaking region. For price-sensitive applications, our project procurement collaborates with partners in Asian and Eastern European markets.

Through this integration, customers benefit from shorter decision cycles, optimized processes, and consolidated expertise—while reliability remains unchanged: the same points of contact, the same availability, and full validity of all existing contracts.

Our passion for engineering began in 2008: back then, we operated as an ambitious development department within SONTEC Sensorbau GmbH. Today, SONDEV is SONTEC’s central development hub for active sensors and electronic products—synonymous with innovation, interdisciplinary expertise, and tailored OEM solutions.

With a steadily growing team in electrical engineering, embedded software, data analytics, and mechanical engineering, we develop technologies that turn ideas into market-ready products. Thanks to close integration with SONTEC’s manufacturing, we support the entire process—from concept and prototyping through to series production—efficiently, reliably, and to the highest quality standards.
